Tammie grew up in the Midwest and has spent the last 30 years of her life in Kalamazoo MI. Just recently she decided to follow a dream. She sold everything she had, packed up the Prius and moved to CA. For the past six months she's lived in Orange County CA where it’s sunny and warm.

Becoming a Storyteller - Tammie Ortlieb
She was not always focused on writing but she as always written. Tammie started as a professor, instructor and teacher at Kalamazoo Community College. But ever since she was a little girl, she would have people sit down on the couch and she would perform for them. Tammie wanted to take them away from whatever they were doing. She soon discovered she could do this with a pen.
Overcoming Self-Doubt
Tammie has had a lot of material in her life. She started with nothing, childhood poverty was her reality. She’s lived in houses that could have been condemned. She collected Coke bottles on the side of the road with her mom to get dinner. She’s had a rich life as far as material goes.
