If you’re not also using paid, PR, email marketing, your website… you’re going to fail.” - Jason Falls on digital strategy

Brands: Stop Being the Lush at the Bar
Jason tells a colorful story about brand advertising, comparing some brands to the “lush at the bar.” He says too many brands talk about themselves with no regard to the customer. It’s a lot like going into a bar, and having the town drunk lay out his entire life in your lap, not caring at all about what you have going on.
“That’s who brands are. They’re the ones who march into the room with their megaphones, screaming, ‘Buy my stuff, buy my stuff! Let me tell you ‘bout my story. Blah blah blah. They think they’re the most important thing in the world.” - Jason Falls on the state of advertising
A Healthy Community Can Make All the Difference
For many storytellers, it can be a solitary existence. Writers write by themselves. Speakers speak alone. We create our creations, quite often, on our own because it’s our own ideas. Jason says being part of a community can help make you a better storyteller.
“When you’re sitting around talking with like-minded people in your industry about your business, that’s where you’re going to get ideas that are going to lead to a breakthrough with a client.” - Jason Falls on the power of community
