Whether it’s Encanto or In the Heights, or any Lin-Manuel Miranda project out there in the world today, it’s hard not to notice more LatinX representation in America these days. As two White Americans, Kim and Dan notice and appreciate the increased diversity in storytelling, but wanted to know what the change means to someone from the LatinX community. So in this episode, they chat with Carmen, whose parents immigrated to America, who lives in Texas, and who faced fears of xenophobia and racism in recent years. And yet, who loves her country.
